A clinical framework that changes how we see behavior, how we ask questions, and how we help.
Trauma-informed therapy is not a single modality. It is a way of understanding human experience and applying that understanding to every aspect of clinical work. The core question shifts from "What is wrong with this person?" to "What happened to this person?" This reframe changes everything: the questions we ask, the pace we set, the power dynamics in the room, and the goals we pursue together.
At Yoffe Therapy, trauma-informed principles are foundational to all of our work, not just sessions that are explicitly about trauma processing. This means we understand that behavior has meaning, that the nervous system responds to perceived threat even when the danger has passed, and that healing happens through relationship, safety, and gradual titrated exposure, never through force or retraumatization. Our therapists are trained in specific trauma modalities including EMDR, TF-CBT, TBRI, and somatic approaches.
All of our therapists practice from a trauma-informed foundation. Browse the team to find who specializes in what you're working on.
