Attachment Therapy

Healing the early bonds that shape how we connect, trust, and relate to everyone we love.

Working at the Root of Relational Patterns

Attachment theory, rooted in the foundational research of John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, shows that our earliest relationships create internal templates for how we experience connection throughout life. When those early bonds are disrupted by trauma, separation, loss, or inconsistent caregiving, the effects can persist across decades. Attachment-focused therapy works at the root of these patterns rather than only at the symptoms.

At Yoffe Therapy, attachment work is central to everything we do. We work with children who've experienced disrupted placements, adults who recognize anxious or avoidant patterns in their relationships, and families working to build secure connections after difficult beginnings. Our clinicians are trained in attachment-focused approaches including AF-EMDR, TBRI, and Theraplay-informed methods.
