Post-Adoption Coaching & Support

Practical, psychoeducation-based support for adoptees and adoptive families navigating what comes next.

Note: Coaching is not therapy and does not constitute a clinical relationship. For trauma processing, diagnosis, or mental health treatment, please see our therapy services.

Support That Meets You Where You Are

Not every post-adoption need requires clinical therapy. Sometimes what families and adoptees need is psychoeducation, skill-building, community, and practical guidance from someone who understands the adoption experience deeply. Post-Adoption Coaching at Yoffe Therapy is a non-clinical support service, distinct from therapy, that provides structured, goal-oriented support for the practical and emotional challenges of post-adoption life.

Our coaching services include support for adoptive parents navigating trauma-informed parenting, adoptees working on identity or life-skills development, and families preparing for search and reunion. Coaching is typically shorter-term and more skills-focused than therapy. It is not the right fit for active mental health conditions, trauma processing, or clinical diagnoses. Those are served by our therapy team.

Who This Service Is For

  • Adoptive parents wanting psychoeducation on trauma-informed parenting
  • Adoptees working on practical life skills or identity development
  • Families preparing for search and reunion conversations
  • Those who want structured support but are not in need of clinical therapy
  • Former therapy clients transitioning to maintenance support
