Licensed clinical evaluation and ESA documentation for California residents.
An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) is an animal that provides therapeutic benefit to individuals with a mental health or psychiatric disability. Unlike service animals, ESAs do not require specific training, but they do require documentation from a licensed mental health professional. In California, ESA letters must come from a licensed therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist who has an established therapeutic relationship with the client and has assessed that an ESA would be clinically beneficial.
At Yoffe Therapy, we provide ESA evaluations and letters for California residents through our telehealth practice. The process involves a clinical intake assessment, not a simple online form. We assess your situation, discuss whether an ESA is clinically appropriate for your needs, and provide documentation that meets California's legal standards if appropriate. We do not offer letters without a clinical relationship and proper evaluation.
Start with a free 15-minute call to discuss whether an ESA evaluation is appropriate for your situation.
