FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network practice. We provide a superbill at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans cover 50–80% of out-of-network therapy costs. We recommend calling your insurer before your first session.

What's the difference between an LMFT and an AMFT?

An LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) has completed all required hours and passed licensing exams. An AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) has a master's degree and is completing their supervised hours under a licensed supervisor. All of our AMFTs are supervised directly by Jeanette Yoffe, LMFT. Their session fees are often lower, and the quality of care is high.

How do video sessions work?

We use HIPAA-compliant video software (SimplePractice). You'll get a secure link before your session: no app download needed. All you need is a private space, a device with a camera, and a stable internet connection. All of our therapists offer video sessions to clients anywhere in California.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

Browse our team and filter by location or specialty. Every therapist offers a free 15-minute intro call. Use it. A good therapeutic match matters more than any credential. If it doesn't feel right after a few sessions, we'll help you find someone else on the team who fits better.
